Civil Process

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office has the responsibility of executing and or serving certain court-issued documents; namely Writs of Execution, Possession, Assistance, Attachment and Restitution. We also deliver non-writ process. We require a signed letter of instruction on all process we serve. Our fees for service are $40.00 per defendant for summons, garnishments and etc.; and $50.00 for small claims plus any additional fees allowed according to Idaho Code. If paying by check, it should be made payable to the Bonneville County Sheriff. A $5.00 search fee is required on all bank garnishments with that search fee check being made payable to the financial institution we will be delivering the garnishment paperwork to. We also require a stamped addressed envelope to the defendant at their last known address on all garnishments and when levying upon property.

Our regular business office hours are Monday – Friday from 0700-1700 hrs.. We are located downtown in the Law Enforcement Building at 605 N Capital, Room #117, Idaho Falls Idaho.
