Court Marshals and Bailiffs
The Bonneville County Court Marshal’s and Bailiff’s are responsible for providing security and safety to the public, county employees and officers of the court. The Marshal’s accomplish this goal by providing a security presence in court proceedings, escorting in-custody defendants, serving arrest warrants, providing support for jury trials, attending to the jury’s needs, and managing conflicts with professionalism. Seven uniformed deputies and 3 civilian bailiffs staff the Court Marshal’s office.
To accomplish our goal of a safe and secure environment, the Marshal’s office is pleased to announce the implementation of a new courthouse security system. This system will include x-ray technology, metal detectors, video surveillance and controlled access. This new system will provide better security for officers of the courts, but will also provide a safer environment for members of the public who enter the building to do business.
