Honor Guard

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard was formed in April of 2001 and at the time consisted of eight members. The team was formed to properly represent any member of the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office who was killed in the Line of Duty or Law Enforcement funerals at the request of their families.

Through the support of the Bonneville County Sheriff and administration, the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard now consists of a 12 member team from the Law Enforcement and Corrections area of the Sheriff’s Office.

Since that time, the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard has been asked to perform numerous flag ceremonies and patriotic functions throughout the state. The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office has had the opportunity to have members participate in the National Law Enforcement Memorial ceremonies in Washington D.C. and also has represented the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office at the Idaho State Law Enforcement Ceremonies in Boise, Idaho.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard has worked closely with the Idaho State Police Honor Guard and the City of Idaho Falls Police Honor Guard with the annual functions of Law Enforcement Memorial Week in Idaho Falls, ID.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office Explorer POST 117 has also formed an Honor Guard team that has worked closely with the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office team, recently assisting with the annual Liberty Field Flag raising ceremony and the Relay for Life Flag ceremony.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard strives to represent all that have and currently wear the uniform past and present, by vowing to give our best, for it is the least we can do.
